I just wanted to take this opportunity to thank Chris Padley, Jr. and the Mason-McDuffie team for all of their hard work that they put forth to get our loan processed so quickly. After having spent three months with another mortgage company trying to procure a 203 K-standard loan, we found Chris Padley, Jr. and Mason-McDuffie.
We needed a 203 K-standard loan because of the repairs and rehab that we needed to do to the property. We had spent three months with another mortgage company and after getting two extensions from the sellers we were faced with losing the contract on our new home. During the time that we spent with the other mortgage company we came to realize that this type of loan takes someone who specializes in it. Chris and his expertise were certainly what we needed at the time that we found him and this company. Chris is very knowledgeable and professional. He was always communicating with us through e-mail, phone calls and texts. Chris was very patient and he guided us through the entire process. We were never passed off and we could always get in touch with him at anytime; I’ve even got him while he was at lunch. Chris always the took time to answer all of our questions.
Once we found Chris at Mason-McDuffie we closed on our new home in less than 30 days! He made the whole process so quick and easy; which was quite opposite of what we had just been through with the other mortgage company.

I was searching for a home but everything I looked at needed a lot of repairs. I finally found one that I thought was the "perfect home" for me. I contacted the realtor Stacy Chasteen and looked at the home. I found that HUD had it listed for the right price and I also learned about the FHA 203(k) loan program that helps in rehabilitation by rolling the repairs into the home loan.
The home required some siding to be replaced and the professional engineer I hired found some rusty HVAC ducts. I decided to roll the cost of repairs into the loan.
